Experimental Procedure

1 Boil two cups of water.

2 Tie one end of the string to the paper clip, and then the other end of the string to the stirrer.

3 Put these on top of the cup.

4 Label each cup in quarter cup increments down from 1¼ cups of sugar.

5 Add the designated amount of sugar.

6 Add ½ a cup of boiling water to each cup.
