To Find :find the cost of polishing the design at the rate of ₹ 9.50 square dm.

Solution :

Height of 1 tile = 10 cm

Base of tile = 4 cm

Area of tile = Base \times Height = 10 \times 4 = 40 cm^2

Area of 1000 tiles = 40 * 1000 = 40000 sq.cm.

1 sq.cm = 0.01 sq.dm

So,  40000 sq.cm. = 40000 \times 0.01=  400 dm^2

Cost of polishing 1 sq.dm =  Rs.9.50

So, Cost of polishing 400 sq.dm = 9.50 \times 400 =3800

Hence the cost of polishing the design at the rate of ₹ 9.50 square dm is Rs. 3800
