Given,

  • Watts = 400 W
  • Voltage = 230V

To Find:-

Amps

Forma used :-

Amps = Watt / Voltage

Calculations:-

Amps = Watt/ voltage

Now,

substituting the given values

=400/230

=1.7amps

So,

The 1.7 amps is used if the voltage is 230V.

Given ,

Electric power (P) = 400 watt

Potential difference (v) = 230 V

We know that , the electric power is given by

P = VI

Thus ,

400 = 230 × I

I = 400/230

I = 1.72 amp

 \sf  \therefore{\underline{The  \: current \:  is  \: 1.72  \: amp}}
