Explanation:

Plant movements can be defined as the changes in the spatial orientation or conformation of an organ or its parts. Plant movements include movements toward light, opening and closing of flowers, growth of developing roots in search of water and nutrients, etc.

Movements in plants are of two types: Nastic movements and Tropic movements.

Tropisms are directional movements of plants in response to different kinds of stimuli. For example, a plant might respond to gravity (gravitropism), or water (hydrotropism), or touch (thigmotropism), or light (phototropism). Some plants respond to all of these, often at the same time.

Types of tropism:

1--Phototropism (response to light). ...

2---Chemotropism (response to particular substances).

3---Hydrotropism (response to water).

4---Thigmotropism (response to mechanical stimulation).

5--Traumatotropism (response to wound lesion).

6---Galvanotropism or electrotropism (response to electric current)
