Explanation:
Ali- Hello, Rizwan ! How have you done today’s paper?
Rizwan– Not very well, I’m afraid.
Ali– I simply wonder at what you say. The question paper was so easy.
Rizwan– It was easy no doubt. But it consisted of unimportant questions only. And I did not prepare any such question.
Ali– Certainly you took a very risky step in doing like that. I always pay equal attention to every question, whether it is important or not.
Rizwan– Now I realize my mistake, and I hope that I shall not repeat this folly.
Ali– Now tell me very plainly, how many question you have attempted.
Rizwan– I have attempted all the questions. But I’m not satisfied with what I have done.
Ali– Did you do translation from Urdu into English? The passage was so easy.
Rizwan– I was so confused after reading the paper that I translated it very , very badly.
Ali– And what about your story and paragraph?
Rizwan– I was foolish enough to write the story in the Present Tense, and to write the paragraph on “ a rainy day in summer” instead of “a rainy day in winter”.
Ali– How did you do the question on grammar?
Rizwan– I can’t say anything with certainly. I shall thank my stars, even I obtain pass marks in this paper.
Answer:
mary: Hello, Rakib. How have you done in today's paper?
dyana: It's cool. But you look excited. What happened to you?
mary: Oh! I have had a horrible experience this day. The questions frightened me from the very beginning. It was my effort that I could save me somehow.
dyana: But I have answered all the questions. To speak the truth, all the questions were somewhat hard and stiff. But I could carry on rather with ease.
mary: The questions no 2 and 4 were not common to me. Overall questions seemed very hard to me.
dyana: I don't think so. It seemed very hard to you as you did not study well owning to your illness.
mary: Your idea may be wrong or right. I do not know. But it is true that you are a bright student. So, your case is different.
dyana: Still the paper as a whole is not so hard to carry 50% marks.
mary: I am speaking of the average students.
dyana: I did not see any student depressed.
mary: What are you saying? For ordinary students like me the questions were definitely difficult.
dyana: The questions on grammar were very easy. Besides, the students have been asked to write an essay on such a subject that is very common.
mary: Do not forget that you are one of the good boys in our class. By the way, I wonder if our examiners ever feel for us.
dyana: They are all sensible men. The point is that we neglect our work and so we suffer in the long run.
mary: In this case I agree with you. However, I am happy to see that you are very optimistic.
dyana: Let's hope for the best and be serious from now on.
