So for 1g there are:

1/4 carat diamond

6 carat gold

so total amount = 6 1/4 carats

so 6÷ 6 1/4 × 100

= 96 % GOLD

= 4 % DIAMOND

Answer:

Given:

Weight of ring = 4 gm

Carat of diamond = 1

Carat of gold = 24

To Find:

Percentage of gold in the diamond ring.

Calculation:

- Mass of diamond = 1 carat = 200 mg = 0.2 gm

⇒ Mass of gold = Mass of ring - Mass of diamond

⇒ Mass of gold = 4 - 0.2 = 3.8 gm

- Percentage of Gold = (3.8/4) × 100

⇒ Percentage of gold = 95 %

- So the percentage of gold in the diamond ring is 95%
