Dear Diary:
Today I met a visually disabled person, Raman. I was so much impressed with his courage, positive outlook, and enthusiasm. I got an opportunity to teach English to visually impaired people. The opportunity taught me more than I could teach them. These visually impaired students were preparing for some entrance exams. After clearing these exams they would get jobs. What impressed me the most was their acceptance of the truth about their disabilities and no complaining and blaming anyone or anything. Raman impressed me the most because he was so clam and peaceful. He confided to me that he had developed the visual disability after an accident. Before that his vision was normal. He always had smile on his face. Quite ironically his eyes were very beautiful too. I thank God for having given me the opportunity to meet him. That’s all dear diary. Good night.
