The probability of  getting the square number is \frac{1}{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given Data

A dice (with 6 face) is thrown randomly on the table.

To find - the probability of getting the square number

In a dice there are six faces with numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6

In these, there are two square numbers, 1 and 4

Number of possibilities of getting square numbers are two and can be denoted as n(A)

Total numbers on dice is six and can be denoted as n(S)

Probability P(A) is defined as the ratio between number of possibilities and total number.

Probability of getting square number P(A)=\frac{\text { Number of Square numbers } n(A)}{\text { Total numbers } n(S)}

P(A)=\frac{n(A)}{n(S)}

P(A)=\frac{2}{6}

P(A)=\frac{1}{3}

Therefore the probability of getting square number from dice which was thrown randomly on the table is \frac{1}{3}
