Answer:

i)1/6

ii)1/6

iii)2/3

Step-by-step explanation:

P(E)={1,2,3,4,5,6}=6

i)P(a number 5)={5}=1

= 1/6

ii)P(a number greater than 5)={6}=1

= 1/6

iii)P(a number less than 5)={1,2,3,4}=4

= 4/6=2/3

Hi mate,

The probability of getting 5 out of 6 numbers is 1/6
The probability of getting greater than 5 ( that is 6 as only 6 is greater than 5 in 1 to 6 numbers since dice has 1 to 6 numbers) is 1/6
But the probability of getting less than number 5( that is 4,3,2 and 1 as 4,3,2 and 1 are the numbers below the 5 in a dice) is 4/6 = 2/3

Hope this helps u
