So, Total number of possible out comes = 6 .

Favourable outcomes = 2 , 4 .

Number of favourable outcomes = 2

Probability of getting 2 or 4 = Number of favourable outcomes / Total number of possible outcomes

= 2/6

= 1/3 .

Hence, When a die is thrown, there is 1/3 probability that the number would be 2 or 4
