Probability= No. of favourable outcomes/ Total no. of outcomes

_

All possible outcomes when a dice is thrown are given -

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. {clearly 6 outcomes}

Numbers greater than 1 = 2,3,4,5,6 {5 numbers greater than 1}

P(getting a number greater than 1)= 5/6

_

Answer =

5/6
