Outcomes = 1,2,3,4,5,6

Total no. of outcomes= 6

Favourable outcome for getting greater no. than 4= 5,6

No. of favourable outcomes=2

Probability of getting no. greater than 4= 2/6=1/3

Probability of getting no. 7=0

Let S be the set of the Sample Space.

S={1,2,3,4,5,6}; n(S)=6

Let A be the set of the numbers grester than 4.

A={5,6}; n(A)=2

Let B be the set of getting 7

B={}; n(B)=0

Hence,

P(A) = n(A)/n(S) = 2/6 = 1/3

P(B) = n(B)/n(S) = 0/6 = 0
