No.of Possible outcomes = 6
More than 3 means 4,5,6.
No.of favourable outcomes = 3
Probability = no.of favourable outcomes ÷ no.of possible outcomes
Probability = 3/6 = 1/2
Ans :1/2

Solution :

If a die thrown once,

Total possible outcomes = { 1,2,3,4,5,6}

Number of total possible

outcomes = 6 ----( 1 )

Favourable outcomes = { 4,5,6 }

Number of favourable outcomes = 3--(2)

Probability of getting more than 3

= ( 2 )/( 1 )

= 3/6

= 1/2
