It  is false . The total no .of possible outcomes = 6
                  No .of favourable outcomes = 3 (2,3,5)
Let this event be E . p(E) = No . of favourable outcomes / total no .of outcomes
                                      = 3/6 .
                                      = 1/2
So , probability of getting a prime number is 1/2 not 2/3 .

Answer:

The probability of getting a prime number is 2/3 is wrong .

Step-by-step explanation:

Total outcomes : {1,2,3,4,5,6}=6

Favorable outcomes : {2 , 3 , 5} = 3

Probability of getting a prime number = \frac{\text{Favorable outcomes}}{\text{Total outcomes}}

                                                               = \frac{3}{6}

So,The probability of getting a prime number is \frac{3}{6}

Hence The probability of getting a prime number is 2/3 is wrong .
