Answer:

TOTAL NO. OF OUTCOMES IN A DICE:- 6

1) EVEN NO. :- 2,4 AND 6 = 3

PROBABILITY OF AN EVENT:-

 \frac{favourable \: outcomes}{total \: outcomes}  =  \frac{3}{6}

 =  >  \frac{1}{2}

2) ODD NO. :- 1,3 AND 5 = 3

PROBABILITY OF AN EVENT=

  \frac{favourable \: outcomes}{total \: outcomes}  =  \frac{3}{6}

 =  >  \frac{1}{2}

so, probability of getting an even no.

 =  \frac{1}{2}  = 0.5

and probability of getting an odd no.

 =  \frac{1}{2}  = 0.5

VERIFY:-

<strong><em>P</em></strong><strong><em>(</em></strong><strong><em>E_</em></strong><strong><em>1</em></strong><strong><em>)</em></strong><strong><em>+</em></strong><strong><em>P</em></strong><strong><em>(</em></strong><strong><em>E_</em></strong><strong><em>2</em></strong><strong><em>)</em></strong>

=0.5+0.5= 1.0
