\sf\bold{\underline{\mathbb{Question}}}!!???

<b><h>A die is thrown once. What is the probability of getting odd prime!?

▶ Throwing dice for once, has a possible outcomes as..

S ={1,2,3,4,5,6}

hence,

N(S)= 6.

according to the question.!!

Outcomes , getting as odd prime.

there are total 3 prime no in sample space, those are 2,3,5 , but we need odd prime no!!

those are..

(E)={3,5}

=>N(E)= 2

we define probability as the ratio of no of possible events to the total no of outcomes!!

hence.

P(E)= \frac{N(E)}{N(S)}

substituting..!

P(E) = \frac{2}{6}

P(E) = \frac{1}{3}..

Therefore!!, probability of getting odd no on throwing a dice for once is \frac{1}{3}...
