Let S be the sample space of a die is thrown.

S = {1,2,3,4,5,6}

n(S) = 6

Let A be the event of getting a prime number.

A = {2,3,5}

n(A) = 3

P(A) = n(A)/n(S)

= 3/6

P(A) = 1/2
