when a dice is thrown sample space(s)=

{1,2,3, 4,5,6}
n(s)=6

let 'A' be the event that the number should be lied between 2&6

A={3,4,5}

n(A),=3

p(A)=n(A)/n(s). [formula]

p(A)=3/6=1/2

probability of getting number between 2 and 6 is 1/2

hope u will be helped

tnx
