a) \: Escape velocity is the velocity that is required to escape from a surface. Orbital velocity is the velocity required to keep an object in an orbit. Both of these quantities are independent of themoving object. \

b) \: Elastic and Inelastic Collisions. Aperfectly elastic collision is defined as one in which there is no loss of kinetic energy in the collision. An inelastic collision is one in which part of the kinetic energy is changed to some other form of energy in the collision. \

c)Radius of gyration or gyradius of a body about an axis of rotation is defined as the radial distance to a point which would have a moment of inertia the same as the body's actual distribution of mass, if the total mass of the body were concentrated. \
