meristematic tissues are still growing and the tissues have not stopped growth.but permanent tissues have stopped multiplying and have took up a role in providing support.

parenchyma and sclerenchyma are simple permanent and xylem and phloem are complex permanent tissue

the growth of plants occurs only in certain specific regions this is because the dividing tissue is also known as meristematic tissue is located only at this point systematic tissue are classified as apical lateral and intercalary new cells produced by Meristem initially like those of Meristem itself but as they grow and their characteristics change and they become differentiated as components of other tissues.

Meristematic tissue take up a specific role and lose the ability to divide as a result a form in permanent tissue this process of taking a permanent shape size when is a function is called differentiation cells of meristematic tissue differentiate to form different types of permanent tissue

The example of simple permanent tissue are Parenchyma, Collenchyma, Sclerenchya.

the examples of complex permanent tissue are xylem and phloem.
