ANSWER :-

a. Answer: The fundamental difference is that combustion is heating and no flames are created because much of the energy is converted to light energy in burning, resulting in less heat energy compared to combustion.

b. i. COOL off as soon as possible with water for first and second degree burns.

ii. The fires caused by the burning of inflammable materials like oil or petrol are also extinguished by using carbon dioxide fire extinguishers. Carbon dioxide used for extinguishing fire can be stored as a liquid at high pressure in cylinders.

iii. In incomplete combustion, products of pyrolysis remain unburnt or the unburnt carbon or soot particles are emitted and contaminate the smoke with noxious particulate matter and gases. It causes respiratory diseases.
