Given

Initial terms --- V = 5 ml , N = 3 N. There after, 245 ml water is added.

To find

Normality of the solution

Formula

Since, number of equivalent remains same on addition of water, we use the following formula :-

 N_{1} V_{1}  =  N_{2} V_{2}

Solution

Final volume after water is added = 245 + 5 = 250 ml.

Applying the formula

 N_{1} V_{1}  =  N_{2} V_{2}  \\  \\  =  > 3 \times 5 = N_{2} \times 250 \\  \\  =  > N_{2} =  \frac{15}{250}  \\  \\  =  > N_{2} =  \frac{3}{50}  \\  \\  =  > N_{2} =  \frac{6}{100}  =  \frac{A}{100}

Hence, A = 6 answer
