Sodium carbonate - Na2CO3
HCl + Na2CO3 -------> NaCl + H2O + CO2
Effervescence is seen due to the evolution of CO2.
Lime water turns milky when this evolved gas (CO2) is passed through it.
Na2CO3 + NaOH -------> no reaction ( I suppose)
