ɢɪᴠᴇɴ:

  • A dinner set is marked at Rs 3500.
  • A shopkeeper offers 10% discount.

ᴛᴏ ғɪɴᴅ:

  • The discount offered.
  • The net price customer paid.

Given that marked price of a dinner set is Rs 3500 and a discount of 10% is offered to it.

So , after giving 10% discount the customer will have to pay 90% of it , which means that the net price the customer will have to pay is 90% of marked price.

90% of Rs 3500.

= 90/100 × Rs 3500.

= Rs 3150

Now discount offered = SP - MP

= Rs 3500 - Rs 3150.

= Rs 350.

Hence

  • Discount offered is Rs 350.
  • Selling price is Rs 3150.
