Answer:

The dc load current is 0.0167A and the dc output power is 0.32 Watt.

Explanation:

From the question we have,

The forward diode resistance(R)=50Ω

Load resistance(R_L)=1200Ω

The voltage from the source is (V_r_m_s)=20

The dc load current will be calculated as,

I=\frac{V_r_m_s}{R_L}       (1)

By substituting the values in equation (1) we get;

I=\frac{20}{1200}

I=0.0167A    (2)

The dc power output is given as,

P=V_r_m_s\times I_r_m_s    (3)

The net resistance(R_T) of the circuit is given as,

R_T=1200+50=1250\Omega     (4)

The rms current(I_r_m_s) is given as,

I_r_m_s=\frac{V_r_m_s}{R_T}      (5)

By substituting the required values in equation (5) we get;

I_r_m_s=\frac{20}{1250}      (6)

By placing the values in equation (3) we get;

P=20\times \frac{20}{1250}

P=0.32 Watt

Hence, the dc load current is 0.0167A and the dc output power is 0.32 Watt.
