A disc is rotated with constant velocity. Sand is poured over it uniformly. How is it 's angular velocity affected ?

If the sand is poured on the sides of the disc then it will have a woobly motion and also its moment of inertia will increase and thus increasing the angular momentum.

Now if the sand us poured only on the center then there will be less loss of kinetic energy as the torque produced by the falling sand will be very close to the center and thus decreasing the loss of energy.
