A discharge tube is connected to a power supply of 200 V. Calculate the effective resistance of the tube if the number of protons drifting through & section per second is 1.5 x 10^18 and the number of electrons drifting in opposite direction through another cross section per second is 2.0 x10^18.
Ans is = 357.14 ohm​

effictive resistance=V/I

where v=voltage

I is current throught cross section

I=Q/T

=(Np+Ne)*e/t

=(2.7*10^18)+(1*10^18)

=0.592A

therefore effective restinace=V/l

230/0.592=39*10^2ohms
