Concept Introduction:

Profit or loss of a product is always on actual worth and discount is on marked price.

Given: A discount of 10% is given to a chain marked at Rs.600. If the actual worth of the chain is Rs.540,

To Find:

We have to find the value of, loss or profit %.

Solution:

According to the problem,

On the giving discount the price of chain will be =\frac{90}{100} *600=540

And actual worth of chain is also 540 Rs.

Therefore after discount there is neither gain nor loss.

Final Answer:

The value of profit or loss is neither profit nor loss.
