Answer:

900 Rs

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that it bought with discount

So, it bought = 95% of cost =855 Rs

M.P = (cost prise X 100)/(100- discount )

M.P= 855 X 100 /95=900 Rs

If you think it is right than mark it brainliest.

Given :-

  • A discount of 5% is given on the marked price of an article.
  • Rahul Paid rupees 855 for that article .

To Find :-

  • Find the marked price and amount of discount.

Solution :-

~Here, we’re given that Rohan got 5 % discount on a article and he bought it for Rs. 855 which is the selling price of that article. We can find the marked price first by applying it’s formula and then the amount of discount by applying it’s formula.

Finding the Marked Price ( MP ) :-

\sf \maltese \;\; MP = \dfrac{100 \times SP }{ 100 - Discount \% }

\sf \implies MP = \dfrac{100 \times 855 }{ 100 - 5 }

\sf \implies MP = \dfrac{85500}{95}

\sf \implies MP = Rs. \; 900

Finding the Discount Amount :-

\sf \maltese \;\; Discount = \dfrac{MP \times Discount \%}{100}

\sf \implies Discount = \dfrac{ 900 \times 5 }{100}

\sf \implies Discount = 9 \times 5

\sf \implies Discount = Rs. \; 45

Therefore,

  • The Marked price of the article is Rs. 900 and the discount amount is Rs. 45
