A diseased mind is even more harmful than the disease itself:justify the statement in the light of O.Henry's The Last Leaf.

This statement can be justified ,as when the girl thought that she was going to die and counted the leaves, she grew sicker and soon she was coming closer to her deathbed. But whenever she came to know that the leaves weren't falling, she used to become healthy and cheerful. So, that means that only her diseased mind which was full of negative thoughts, had led her to a bad state.

singhtrisha: Actually, I read the story when I was in class 2nd, so I don't remember the name of the characters. sorry for that!
