A dish of 10g is kept horizontally in air by firing bullets of 5g each at rate of 100per s . if bullets rebound with same speed what is velocity which bullets are fired ??

Heya......!!

Change in momentum on 1 bullet = - mv-mv => - 2mv

Change in momentum of dish = + 2mv
Change in momentum of dish in one sec =>> Force ,F = 100 ( 2 mv )

we know that F = mg .
so ,,,
100 (2 mv ) = mg
100 ( 2×5×10^-3 ×V ) = 10 × 10^-3 g

V ( velocity of bullet ) =➡ 0.098 m/s .

∆p/t = F

F = mnv /1
Force = mnv .
