A dishonest businessman sells his goods at a cost price and still makes a 25% profit by weighing them down. How much measurement does he use for one kg?

Correct weight = 1kg= 1000gm

profit = 25%

he uses false weight to gain 25%

Now, use this formula-

Profit% = {false weight / (True weight - false weight)}×100

false weight = x let

now, 25 = {x / (1000- x )}×100

25/100 = x / (1000-x)

25000-25x = 100x

125x = 25000

x = 200gm

i.e he uses 200 gm less weight

so actual weight = 1000-200= 800 gm
