Answer:

33.33

let the CP be 100 for 1 kg which will give us the new CP as 75 for 750g but he sells it at 100 for 750g

so, P = 100-75 = 25

and P%=33.33

The percentage gain is 33.3%

Given:

Actual Weight = 1 Kg

False Weight = 750g

To Find:

The gain per cent

Solution:

Let the cost price of 1g be = x

Therefore,

Selling Price = 1000x ( As the claim is to give 1kg weight )

Cost Price = 750x ( The goods actually given are of 750 g)

Using the formula of percentage gain -

Percentage Gain = SP - CP × 100/ CP

Substituting the value -

Percentage Gain = ( 1000x - 750x) × 100/750x

= ( 250x) × 100/750x

= 25000x/750x

= 2500/75

= 500/15

= 100/3

= 33.3

Answer: The percentage gain is 33.3%
