A dishonest merchant sells his grocery using weight 4% less than the true weight and also makes a profit of 5%. Find his total profit percentage.​

Answer:

Suppose he brought grocery ar Rs100

Given that he makes profit of 5%

i.e. 100Rs grocery at 105 Rs

But actually he is giving 4%less

i.e. 96Rs grocery at 105Rs

So,total profit= Rs9

CP=96(because he is selling only 96 grocery and its CP is 96)

PROFIT percentage= Profit*100/CP

P%= 9*100/96 =9.37%
