let milkman buys 300 litres of milk
so cost for purchasing is 300 ×6 = 1800
1/3 rd of 300 litres is 100 litres
so 100 litres water added to 300 litres of milk
total milk becomes 400 liters
selling price is 7.2 rs per litre
so total selling price is 400 × 7.2 = 2880 rs
now profit is = 2880 - 1800
= 1080
when cost 1800 ------- profit 1080
then cost 100 -------- profit ????
profit percentage = 1080 × 100 / 1800
= 60 percent
so cost for purchasing is 300 ×6 = 1800
