Given:

  • Shopkeeper uses a false weight of 900 gram for each kilogram.

To Find:

  • Find  profit or loss percent.

Solution:

Suppose the cost price of 1 gm is x.

So,

         SP = 1000 x

he claims to be giving 1 kg weight

        CP = 900 x

the goods he actually gives is 900 gm

So,

      \% \ Gain = \frac{1000x - 900x }{900x} \times 100

      \% \ Gain = \frac{100x }{900x} \times 100

      \% \ Gain = \frac{100}{9} \%

      \% \ Gain = 11 \times \frac{1}{9} \%

Thus, The gain present = 11\frac{1}{9} \%
