Answer: profit percent is 6.38%.

Explanation:

Since we have given that a dishonest shopkeeper tries to sell sugar at its cost price but uses a weight of 980 g instead of 1 kg.

So, there is formula for this i.e.

\text{Profit percent}=\frac{Erros}{used}\times 100

Here, in our question , used weight is 940g

and error is given by

1kg=1000g\\\\so,\\\\1000g-940g=60g

So, our profit percent is given by

\frac{60}{940}\times 100\\\\=6.38\%

Hence, profit percent is 6.38%.

Solution:

Difference in weight = 1000g-980g

Profit =20g

Profit%=Profit×100/C.P

=20×100/980

=20×10/98

=200/98

=2.04%

Hope it help you...
