Let the Price of milk be Rs 1/ml
So Cost Price of 1L milk= Rs.1000
Now he only sells 900ml but he charge for 1L milk.
Cost Price of 900ml milk= Rs 900
Selling Price= = Rs. 1000
Profit= SP- CP
= 1000-900
=Rs 100
Profit % = (100/900)x100
= 100/9%
= 11.111% or 11(1/9)%
So Cost Price of 1L milk= Rs.1000
