The weight of sugar given less is directly

proportional to the weight of the sugar bought.

For 1kg sugar, 10g of sugar is given less.

Let A grams be the sugar given less for 5/2 kg.

So, =>1 : 5/2 =10:a

Applying the rule,

product of extremes = product of means

1 x A = 5/2 x 10

a=25 grams or 1/40 kg

Hence, the fraction of sugar, she was cheated of :

1/40 ÷5/2 =1/40 x2/5 = 1/100
