the focal length =-20
the image distance (v)=-10
the object distance (u)=?
1/v-1/u=1/f
1/-10-1/u=1/-20
u+10/-10u=-1/20
u+10=10u/20=u/2
2u+20=u
u=-20
since linear magnification=v/u
-10/-20=1/2
also
size of image /size of object=1/2
hence
size of the image =1/2*4=2cm
