Hey buddy!

Answer:

=Time taken by a to complete the work= 3 days.

=(a+b)'s one day's work = 1/2 of the work.

= (a+b)'s 3 days work = 1/2×3 = 3/2 of the work.

= Remaining work of a = 1-3/2= - 1/2

= Man's one day work= - 1/2×1/3

= - 1/6

=So, B's one day work= 1/2 - - 1/6

= 1/2+1/6

= 3+1/6

= 4/6

= 2/3

Now, time taken by b to do the whole work= 1÷ 2/3

= 3/2

 = 1 \frac{1}{2} \: days \: \: \: ans.
