Answer:

72×4=288

78×3=234

80×2=160

MEAN=SUM OF OBSERVATIONS÷NO.OF OBSRRVATIONS

DUM OF OBSERVATIONS=288+234+160

=682

No.of observations=9

mean=682÷9

=75.7777777.....

=75.8

Answer:

The mean is 75.77

Mode is 72

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that

Mean=\frac{Sum of observations}{Total observations}

It is given that

pulse rate of four students is 73

Sum=72*4=288

Also, as per question

78*3=234

and

80*2=160

Total observations =9

Using formula of mean,

Mean=\frac{288+234+160}{9}

Mean=\frac{682}{9}

=75.77...

Mode is the maximum repeated data in observation

Hence, Mode=72
