Answer:

 \tt \: Work \: done _{(by \:A )} =  \frac{1}{12}  \\  \\  \tt \: Work \: done \:  _{(by \: B)} =  \frac{1}{16}  \\  \\ \tt B's \: 9 \: day's \: work =  \frac{1}{16}   \times 9 =  \frac{9}{16}  \\  \\ \tt Remaining \: work = 1 -  \frac{9}{16}  =  \frac{7}{12}  \\  \\ \tt (A + B)'s \: 1 \: day's \: work =  \frac{1}{12} +  \frac{1}{16}   =  \frac{4 + 3}{48}  =  \frac{7}{48}  \\  \\  \tt \: Time taken =  \frac{7}{12}   \div  \frac{7}{48}  =  \frac{7}{ 12}  \times  \frac{48}{4}  = 4 \: days \\  \\  \tt \: Total \: time \: taken \:  = 9 + 4 =  \underline{  \underline{ \red{ \boxed{ \green{ \tt \: 16 \: days}}}}}
