human being and large animals. Comparatively small animals like frog, toad and even some varieties of birds are known to live in stone gaps.

They make it their home because a stone gap helps in protecting them from predators while at the same time, it helps them to stay away from bad weather that may be there at certain times of the year.

A stone gap can also be an ideal place for many types of reptiles like lizards and snake, although they may not live there for a long time.
