A dog runs 100 m in 20 seconds. He then comes back half the distance in 10
seconds and stops. What is the dog's average velocity?​

Average velocity = V1 x V2/V1 + V2

= (100/20 x 50/10)/(100/20 + 50/10)

= (5000/200)/(100+100/20)

= 25/(200/20)

= 25/10

= 2.5 m/s
