DISTANCE=50m

TIME=20s

TOTAL DISTANCE TRAVELLED=50+50=100

AVERAGE SPEED=TOTAL DISTANCE COVERED /TOTAL TIME TAKEN

AVERAGE SPEED=100/20=5m/s

AS IT RETURNS BACK TO ITS ORIGINAL POINT ITS DISPLACEMENT WILL BE ZERO HENCE,AVERAGE VELOCITY WILL BE ZERO.
