A donkey carries weight for some distance. but the time taken by him to cover the distance is directly proportional to the weight it carries. if it takes him 20 minutes to carry a quintal of grains, how much time he would take if the master, whose weight is 60 kg, is also sitting on him?

total distance cover in 1quintal grain equal to 20minute
total distance cover in 60 kg equal to as wee know that I quintol equal too 100kg so
time equal to 20by 100 multiply by 6 equal to 12 minutes

Answer: Time taken to deliver to master is 32 min.

Donkey carries a quintal of weight in 20 min where time is directly proportional to the weight he carries.

Therefore, when the master weighing 60 kg also sat on the donkey, the new weight carried by the donkey be 100 kg + 60 kg = 160 kg.

Then, the time taken to carry one kg weight would be given by,

                 t=\frac { 20 }{ 100 } =\frac { 1 }{ 5 }

Therefore, time taken to carry 160 will be

                 t=\frac { 1 }{ 5 } \times 160=32 minutes.
