\bf{Cost\:Of \:painting\:the \:wall=Rs\: 360}

\bf{\underline{Step\:wise\:explanation}}

Surface Area of wall = Length× breadth

= 15 × 10

=150 m^2

Surface Area of Door Frame = length× breadth

= 3 ×2

= 6 m^2

Now the area remained to be painted = Area of the wall - area of the door

= 150 - 6

=144 m^2

Cost of Painting 1 m^2 = ₹2.50

Cost of painting 144 m^2 = ₹2.50×144

=₹360

SOLUTION :

Area of door = Length × Breadth

= L × B

= 3 m × 2 m

= 6 m^2

Area of wall including door = Length × Breadth

= L × B

= 10 m × 10 m

= 100 m^2

Area of wall excluding door = 100 - 6

= 94 m^2

Total labour charges for painting the wall is

= 2.50 × 94

= Rs. 235
