Answer:

  • The dimensions of the door frame = 3 m × 2 m
  • The dimensions of the wall = 10 m × 10 m

=> Area of the wall = length x breadth

= 10 x 10

= 100 sq. m

=> Area of the door frame = length x breadth

= 3 x 2

= 6 sq. m

=> area of the part of the wall to be painted

= area of the wall - area of the door frame

= 100 - 6

= 94 sq. m

( wall can be painted only where the door frame is absent. so, the area covered by the door frame on the wall is excluded. )

COST OF PAINTING :-

for 1 sq m the labor charges = 3.25 rs

for 94 sq. m the labor would charge = 3.25 x 94

= 305.5 rs.

The total labor charges for painting the wall is 305.5 Rs. (Ans

Answer:

area of door =3×2=6

area of wall=10×10=100

area of remaining part for painting =area of wall -area of door.

=100-6

=94

Labour charge for painting 94sq metres =94×3.25

=305.5

so rs305.5 is required to paint the wall.

pls mark the ans as brainliest.

Step-by-step explanation:

Painting of the wall has to be done excluding the area of the door.

Area of the door = L × b

= 3 × 2m² = 6m²

Area of wall including door = side × side = 10 m ×10 m = 100m²

Area of wall excluding door = (100–6) m² = 92m²

Total labour charges = Rs3.25 × 94

= Rs 305.5
