First let's find the area of the door
Length of door = 2
Breadth of door = 1
Area = L*b = 2*1 = 2m sq.
Now find the area of wall
Length of wall = 4.5m
Breadth of wall = 3.6m
Area of wall = L*b = 4.5*3.6= 16.2m sq
As door is fitted in the wall that much area of door will be removed from the area of wall
Area of wall - Area of door
16.2 - 2 = 14.2 m sq.
Now cost of whitewashing per m sq. Is Rs 20 then cost of total whitewash will be
14.2*20 = Rs 284
